Website Now Live!
After properly working on this on and off for most of this year, my website is finally live! It's honestly been a fun experience making this site; not only to see something like this you've made from scratch come together, but also using my old computer collection to make this site too. As an example, I'm writing this introductory article on a Samsung X10 laptop from 2002 and, as I mentioned on the index page, have used a few others in the process. Old computers can indeed be used for more than just 'vidya games' these days! At the time of writing this, we have the 'bird app' crashing and burning before our very eyes (to the surprise of literally no one) and, as a result, the timing of me getting this website live is quite funny lmao. Another thing I mentioned on the index page is there are some things on here that are still a work in progress (the Gallery and Stuff sections to name some particular examples). I think the former is the first thing I'll eventually be working on after getting the site live, as the latter will take a bit more work to put together. Hopefully I can find a web hosting service that works well for me soon, because then older computers will be able to more easily access this site and it would possibly offer a bit more flexibility with what I can do. Regardless, I'm excited to properly have my own space on the Internet to express myself, that isn't fully tied to the confines and interface limitations of social media from big corporations!! |
